How was it founded
UEFA was first founded after the consultation between the Italian, French and Belgian associations in Basel, Switzerland, on 15 June 1954. There were 31 founding members at first, but members kept on joining until they grew to 50 by 1995 due to the fragmentation of the Soviet Union. After foundation, the main headquarters was in Paris, then sometime later in Bern. Finally, the headquarter has a new place in Nyon, Switzerland, active since 1995.
